Art Classes and Workshops
Private and Semi-Private Studio and Plein Air Classes
Classes are given in groups of six classes called a session; each class is three hours
long.
Private lessons can be scheduled one class at a time or all six classes can be set same
day and time each week. Weeks can be skipped too, when necessary for life
obligations. Days and times can also fluctuate according to our mutual schedules.
Semi-Private lessons can also vary but usually have a set day and time.
Painting in Oil or Watercolor
Each class is custom designed to fit the level and the needs of each student. However,
painting basics will be at least rehearsed. We will cover equipment and supplies and
how to use them and take care of them. Starting a painting and a step-by-step process
will be implemented. Composition, value, hue, temperature, mood, split primaries,
limited palette using mediums and more will be covered as they fit into the personally
designed class. Gwen will lead each student into and through each step with respect
and with a goal of learning and enjoyment.
A supply list is available. Some of the supplies can be purchased locally at United Art
and Education, Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. The best paints to use are not available
locally. If you have paints to start with, great, if you want to purchase then refer to
the supplies list.
Gwen invites questions and encourage you to voice concerns and any questions. She
is available most anytime over the phone, or e-mail.

Private $540 per session (6 classes) this fee can be paid in two installments.
Semi-Private $360 per session (6 classes)
