Perhaps it is the beauty of a flowered staircase, the tranquility of sunlight streaming across
a doorway or maybe it is the nostalgia of an old barn from the last century, whatever the
subject matter, Gwen wants her work to affect the viewer. Her goal is to make them stop,
even if just for a split second....

Artist's statement
Gwen obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Indiana University, graduating with
honors. In addition, she studied painting in Washington, Utah, North Carolina, Florida,
Greece, Italy, and Indiana. She has painted for many years and has won numerous awards.
Many of her paintings are in private and public collections across the country.
